of the Automobile Car Show & Racers Reunion

On
Friday and Saturday September 28th and 29th - The Historic
Speedway Group will host The Sixth Annual – Celebration of the
Automobile Car Show & Racers Reunion. The Occoneechee-Orange
Speedway is the only surviving dirt race track from NASCAR’s inaugural
season in 1948.
Racers
Reunion will feature guest appearances by the greatest NASCAR
drivers and Car Owners as well as celebrities of the racing fraternity
including:
Mary
Scott, widow of NASCAR Legendary Driver Wendell Scott; Sybil
Scott, daughter of Wendell Scott; & members of the Wendell Scott
family who will be the Guests of Honor.
Meet
NASCAR’S greatest legends Rex White, Marvin Panch,
Dick Passwater, Danny “Chocolate Myers”, Wayne
Andrews, & Reb Wickersham.
All
in attendance will be invited to walk the historic .9 mile dirt track and
ramble along the Eno River.
All
events taking place during the Racers Reunion will be free and open to the
general public – beginning with the Friday night Cruise-In with a Twist
at the Shops at Daniel Boone, South Churton Street,
Hillsborough with Beach music by TheCastaways.
An
Open Car Show will feature a display of: Hot Rods, Street Rods, Vintage
NASCAR Racers, Trucks, Motorcycles and Special Interest Vehicles.
Racers
Reunion will feature free shuttle service, Driver introductions, a live
auction, exhibits, souvenirs and food provided by local vendors.
The
two-day event will be held at the Historic Occoneechee-Orange
Speedway, Elizabeth Brady Road/Highway 70-A, Hillsborough, North Carolina.
